Cathryn Barnett

Cathryn Barnett is a Logistician at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia, supporting Code 317 (Logistics Product Readiness) as the ILS Product Support Manager  for Division 43 (Hull & Deck Machinery Systems) Cathryn also supports CVN ILS certifications, Hull & Deck Machinery System Health Assessments, and AIT installation RMMCO Check Ins. Prior to becoming a Logistician, Cathryn worked as a defense contractor supporting Department 10’s IT infrastructure. Ms. Barnett is a member of NSWCPD’s Safety Community of Interest, STEM Advisory Board, and serves as a Executive Vice President for IFPTE Local 3. She received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), Master of Science (M.S.) in Management from University of Maryland University

College (UMUC) and is currently pursuing an advanced certification in Life Cycle Logistics from Defense Acquisition University (DAU). Cathryn volunteers as a Sea Perch/ Sea Glide and Science Fair Judge, STEM demonstrator, liaison for the Naval STEM camp at Temple University, and a DoD Mentor First Robotics Coach. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling/experiencing the world with her daughter and friends, reading, and catching a good concert or music festival.
